Sidewalks: The Path Forward

The lack of sidewalks is a perpetual complaint across Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County. Metro has identified 1,900 miles of “greatest need” sidewalks — and a total of 4,700 miles of missing sidewalk segments across Davidson County. Mayor Cooper's newly-approved $1.6 billion transportation plan has a plan to extend sidewalks across the metropolitan area. During this session, we will discuss the new path forward for addressing this issue and how residents and neighborhood organizations can make a difference.

We are pleased to welcome Jeff Hammond as our guest presenter. Jeff is Assistant Director and Metro Public Works. An engineer by trade, Jeff will plan an instrumental role in ensuring the plan is implemented.

This is a free online video conference that also welcomes dial-in phone calls. Everyone must register in advance to receive their unique access code to the 45-minute online Networking Session.
